Our curriculum consists of 500 hours. Classes are offered both morning and night for your convenience and are approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services and meets all registration requirements for becoming a licensed massage therapist.
Swedish Massage (125 hours)
Teaches the proper techniques for giving a nurturing, full-body massage; describes the practical benefits of this natural form of therapy, known to promote relaxation, improve circulation, relieve muscle pain and create a feeling of well-being.
Human Anatomy Physiology (75 hours)
Concentrates on the structure and function of the human body and how the body is organized at different levels. Special emphasis is given to the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems.
Hydrotherapy (20 hours)
Explains how water, applied in its various forms to the body, promotes healing and good health and how heat and cold temperatures affect the body.
Health and Hygiene (20 hours)
Examines the role of health and hygiene in Massage Therapy, including infectious disease, nutrition, stress management, mental health and anger management.
Business Practices and Ethics (45 hours)
Contains Texas Law andFocuses on business procedures, such as bookkeeping, insurance and laws regulating Massage Therapy; marketing/advertising strategies; ethics, professionalism and client relations.
Pathology (40 hours)
A comprehensive look at diseases, indications, contraindications, sanitary practices and psychological and emotional states
Thai Massage (30 hours)
Originating in the northern Monasteries of Thailand, Thai Massage uses massage and stretching to help realign the body structurally
Theory of Chinese Medicine (20 hours)
The theory of traditional Chinese medicine is based on qi a fundamental concept. Which travels in a natural pattern that circulates in channels called meridians. The blockage or disruption of this energy flow can cause illness in the Zang Fu organs. Learning to restore qi to the meridians can return the body to a healthy homeostatic state
Shiatsu Massage (20 hours)
An introductory course in Japanese therapeutic massage technique in which pressure is applied with the thumbs and palms to those areas of the body used in acupuncture. Also reffered to as acupressure.
Aromtherapy (5 hours)
Teaches the use and proper application of essential oils during massage
Kinesiology (50 hours)
The Study terms, joints, movements, muscles and posture thinking three dimensionally
Internship (50 hours)
50 hours of Massage Therapy Practice to the public.
